- Afraid to open the box and look at the modem? That's how you can find out
- who makes it (or get a good idea anyway).

- As far as init strings go, that's a pretty basic one that appears to
- include the default settings for most modems (with the possible exception
- of the S0=0 which tells the modem not to answer incoming calls).
